Dr. Rosenberg is the Clinical Director of the Tikkun Center for Psychotherapy.

I am a licensed clinical psychologist who practices contemporary psychoanalytic psychotherapy. I specialize in treating people who experience psychosis (psychotic breaks, bipolar psychosis, schizophrenia, schizoaffective disorder, PTSD related psychosis), bipolar disorder, depression, anxiety (including OCD) and the effects of trauma (PTSD).

Having grown up in the United Kingdom, I completed my Bachelor of Science degree in psychology at Swansea University, Wales, earning a First Class Degree with Honours. I then moved to California where I earned my doctorate in clinical psychology from the American School of Professional Psychology at Argosy University, San Francisco Bay Area.

My doctoral training placements included working at Kaiser Permanente (Richmond) in the Pediatric Psychiatry department and the Veterans Affairs (Martinez) where I worked with Vietnam- and Korean War-era veterans. This was followed by my pre-doctoral internship at a residential treatment facility for children and adolescents (Lake Villa, Illinois). I completed post-doctoral training at Kaiser Permanente (Roseville) in the Adult Psychiatry Department and continued to work at Kaiser Permanente in Sacramento as a generalist. From 2016-2019 I worked in the Thought Disorder Program, a specialised treatment program, where I provided individual and group psychotherapy to patients experiencing psychosis, including diagnoses of schizophrenia, schizoaffective disorder, bipolar disorder and borderline personality disorder. I left Kaiser Permanente in September 2019 to pursue a full time private practice.

I am a candidate (student) at the Psychoanalytic Institute of Northern California (PINC) where I am pursuing post graduate studies to learn the practice of psychoanalysis. Psychoanalysis is a more intensive type of psychotherapy where I meet with patients two to five times a week and while this can be conducted face to face in a chair, some prefer to lie down on the analytic couch in my office.

Dr. Rosenberg’s fee is $195 per session.
